How to know if you are susceptible to road rage

On Behalf of | Oct 3, 2015 | Car Accidents

Sometimes traffic is tough to deal with, and it can be nerve-wracking no matter where you are driving in the Valley. Drivers can become upset in bumper-to-bumper traffic or when traffic suddenly slows down. It seems that people do not always respect our right to be on the road.

Crabby people brewed with heavy traffic creates a recipe for disaster and can lead to road rage incidents. While road rage is largely learned behavior, how do you know if you can be susceptible to lashing out against other drivers? This post will highlight a few things that drivers should be aware of that lead to road rage.

Do you tailgate or try to beat red lights? – It’s no secret that drivers who are in a hurry will ride people’s bumpers and run through red lights. These are classic signs of aggressive driving and can lead to road rage.

Do you honk your horn often? – Horns can be used as extensions of our frustration for other drivers. If you use your horn often, this can also be a symptom of road rage.

Do you yell at other drivers? – If you are apt to yell at people who get in your way or are driving too slowly, you may be susceptible to road rage.

One thing to remember; if you have been a victim of a road rage, you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries. A personal injury attorney can advise you of your rights and options.
