HPC is sponsor for Bearathon

HPC is proud to sponsor Scarlett and Sloan in the 2024 Bearathon supporting Highland Lakes Schools. This is an annual fun run. 100% of donations raised from the Bearathon go directly to the schools for needed technology and athletic equipment. Great work, girls!

These are truly unprecedented times, but every day presents a unique opportunity to choose kindness over fear. Today, we are choosing to support families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. At this critical time, HPC is giving back to our community and inviting you to help!

The Society Of St Vincent de Paul Family Relief Fund Saint Marys Food Bank

We are helping out two community organizations: St. Vincent dePaul’s Family Relief Fund and St. Mary’s Food Bank.

HPC is proud to be a sponsor at the Valley of the Sun (VOS) Active 20-30 Club’s Cinco de VIVA, a festive semi-formal fête raising needed funds for local children’s charities, on Saturday, May 5 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Scottsdale Waterfront Southbridge. Now in its 24th year, VIVA will feature bites from more than a dozen Valley restaurants like EVO and Fogo de Chão, as well as fiesta-inspired cocktails from Tito’s Handmade Vodka. While admiring the spectacular waterfront views, guests can dance the night away to live music, indulge in mystery gift boxes filled with Kendra Scott jewelry, and even take a selfie with an adorable miniature donkey. Funds raised from this year’s event will support the programs and beneficiaries served by VOS Active 20-30 Club’s Valley Kids Foundation 501(c)3. Valley Kids Foundation’s beneficiaries include Arizona Helping Hands, Child Crisis Arizona, Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation, Florence Crittenton, Best Buddies, Homeward Bound, Mission of Mercy Arizona and New Pathways for Youth. Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club is a philanthropic, community service and social organization for professional women ages 21 – 39.

SARCC

With you, WE CAN! HPC is proud to support the work of the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARCC) and raise awareness about autism. SARCC serves anyone on the autism spectrum, people who provide care, and others who want to get involved. Attending their 20th annual breakfast event on April 26, 2018, we learned about the way SARRC has been advancing research and resources for the autism community for the past 21 years. HPC would encourage anyone whose life is touched by autism (personally, as a family member or an educator) to contact SARRC to learn more about this valuable resource in our community.

Arizona State University Endowed Scholarship In 2017, Shawn Cunningham and Frank Powers were pleased to announce the creation of the Harris Powers & Cunningham Endowed Scholarship at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. The endowment is intended to provide a yearly scholarship to a student with financial need who, after graduation and through their legal practice, wishes to assist wrongfully injured people. This endowment is another way in which the partners at HPC continue to help injury victims and their families. They believe that great responsibility and commitment to others go hand-in-hand with a law degree and license to practice law. Shawn and Frank are pleased to assist law students with financial need and a similar vision and commitment. The ASU Foundation administers the endowment and selects the scholarship recipient each year.
